I was born in Leeds in 1962 and grew up in the 12th century town of Knottingley, West Yorkshire.

I'm a self taught and very prolific artist and flood the country with hundreds of paintings every year, I'm not afraid to tackle any subject and will paint anything that interests me.
My simple approach is for a faithful but distilled version of the scene in front of me done with (as much as possible) first time applications of paint.
All my paintings are done with just three colours..which is all you need. They are the primaries, Yellow, Magenta and Cyan.
I'm a listed artist and feature prominently in internet searches.
I've sold well over 9,000 paintings to various high street and online galleries with the majority on eBay over the last 18 years.
I now sell exclusively on eBay where I have over 700 followers which is ever growing.

In the mid 80's I studied Film Animation at what was then the Newport Film School where I gained my diploma.
At this time I met my future wife and eventually settled in the Rhymney Valley South Wales.
I began my career as a Cartoon Animator in the early 90's working for studios in Cardiff and Bristol that produced feature films and children's TV series for BBC, ITV, CH4 and S4C
I was part of the team that turned Prince Charles' book The Old man of Lochnagar into the 25 minute special 'The Legend of Lochnagar'. The Prince invited our team to his Highgrove home where I got to shake his hand and drink his whisky.

I left the industry in 2009 to become a professional watercolour artist
